Darrel is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional and holds a BAgric (Economics) degree, a Higher Diploma in Education and a Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Planning. He has practiced as a professional financial planner since 1988 and as one of the pioneers of lifestyle financial planning in South Africa, Darrel has always adopted a client-centric approach to financial planning. He was a co-founding Strategic Partner of ipac SA in 1999 and was awarded the FPI/Personal Finance Financial Planner of the Year award (KwaZulu-Natal region) in 2001. In his capacity as chairperson of the Strategic Partner Forum, which works closely with the management team at Old Mutual Wealth, Darrel works closely with other professionals in resolving pertinent matters affecting the financial planning profession, in the interests of both the planners and their clients.
